Perfect hike for Halloween weekend. The white rock for which this passage is named looks like bleached bones scattered about! We hiked this passage SOBO. Good tread all along and mostly pretty easy to follow. There were a few places where we had to stop and look. The only time we were off-trail was after leaving the corral area by Red Saddle Tank. Cows had been all over that area and trails / paths were hard to follow. We didn't get too far off before we questioned our path, got out the app and easily found our way. Heard a turkey in the morning but could never spot it. Great views!!! North half is ROCKY!. South half is mostly sand and we found that a welcome treat. Trail itself isn't shady but there is shade to be had all along. Polk Spring is very inviting. We tried to cross the East Verde without getting wet, but, oh well, it was a warm day. Crossed at the rock garden but there was a couple of meters that didn't have any rocks sticking above water. Hiked out to our vehicles at Doll Baby TH.

So, I really don't know how fast the spring was running, but the metal tank was FULL and grass all around the tank was green indicating the tank may even overflow.
