Another Fantastic trip into the Sups. the weather was epic.. cooler Hiking, great at camp, and snuggly at night. My New Western Mountaineering bag and Xlight mattress where the toast of my trip. So comfy, and even sweated the last Night. Fun Times for sure

I hit the trail at 9am on Thursday. Passed about 30 peeps on day hikes, most asking me what my Plans where. Plan was to head to Charlebois 1st night since I knew it would have water. Then day 2 head to 2nd water/ boulder canyon intersection, then head out on Saturday morning.

The trip to Charlebois was great once I lost all the day hikers. My biggest surprise was NO WATER at all. Well i did see like 2 survival puddles but really expected to see more water along the way. Actually seemed warmer than the thermometer said...lol... so by the time I hit Charlebois I was ready to chill. I had never been to Charlebois, wow, very nice place indeed, and best part was I had it all to myself :y:

Made a Drink and prepped my diner of my World Famous beef alfredo with a side of Taters. New stove ,MSR Microlight, is fantastic, BUT, need to change how I prep my home made meals, it is o hot is scorches the bottom inside the pan. Ill fix it next trip. Diner was great, not a lot of wood so chose no night Fire so I had one in the Morning...

Up and made coffee and oats, fire, packed, and on my way. My intention was to fill all 3l of water bottles and re-fill my camelback....ummmmm... spaced some of that :scared: . Drank half of a 24oz jug and forgot to fill my camelback..lol. I remembered about 1mile into my trip to 2nd water. I wasnt to concerned, I had about 3l ish with me, so was fine, just would limit my Drinks :o :D
Again hardly any water. 2 spots with survival puddle and thats it. As I landed at the creek crossing at 2nd water I luckely found many puddles in those big rocks, cool, I have extra water. Then at 2nd water creek there was a light flow and lots of water, once ya find a clear puddle, which there was a few. remember that nice campsite a few yards up the trail by the BIG rock, found it, found a nice puddle right below it, and settled in.

found plenty of wood, had a Nice fire and relaxed. Great campsite, around 730 hit the Tent to read a bit. Heard a large group, sounded like women and men, oh GREAT college kids...... nope... was a heard of Boy Scouts..lol. Got out said hey, they had already sent a scout to find the big group area on the other side of the creek, they re-grouped, and headed off.. and I went to bed.

Was a great 3 days, talked to some nice peeps on the short trip out, educated some future backpackers on gear. Hit the ride at about 10am.. and headed back to civilization
