| no partners | | I'll admit, I was motivated by some recent photos on on here of the water falls near fish creek hill. Figured there was enough recent rains this weekend to go check it out, plus it has been quit a while since I had been out that way. Headed out, enjoying the greenery around canyon lake and also the nice views of some snow capped 4 Peaks. Arrived at Tortilla flats to see the road closed by ADOT. Parked and went to talk to the guy, at first I thought they had closed it because of the water crossing at tortilla creek. After checking it out, the water level was not bad at all so we talked to the guy and he said it was closed due to a boulder, which he described as bigger than his truck. With no ETA on opening, we headed back home. I posted on social media and started getting messaged from people forwarding the ADOT twitter's notice on it. I guess I should check things ahead of time.  |
