| no partners | | My girlfriend and I had the same day off during the week so we headed to the higher elevation to play around in the snow.
First we hit up Horton Creek Trail head, really enjoyed seeing this area covered in snow. I only head that way in the summer as an escape from the heat. There was a lot of foot prints headed down the trail. I wish we had better winter clothing, I would have likes to head down there a bit.
Second was FR300. It was blocked off as usual, but a parking area was plowed. We wondered around a bit, found someone's snow shoe tracks as well. There was actual snow coming down during this stop.
Third up was Young Highway, there was a county worker out there plowing this one. Just went a little ways in and found a nice area to check out. We were starting to get hungry at this point so we headed back to Payson for a late lunch. |
