My youngest son has suddenly decided to put down the video game paddle and get off the couch and join his old man on a few hikes. We have gone up the Peralta Trail to the saddle together a few times, but never out to the Lone Pine. We went out today and he really enjoyed it. How can you not?! That is one of my favorite places in the entire wilderness.

Nothing new to report....we started early to beat the crowds. On the way down, we met the multitudes for sure - a non-stop stream of people going up. Tis' the season.

Next hike with him, I will take him up Boulder Canyon TH to see the views and maybe head down to the creek. It's nice connecting with your children on the trails!
