Had to redo some of the hike from the 17th.
The storms here have been bombastic with lots of rain.
Mesquite Sump had about twice as much water as last week and we crossed the stream in several places. Up to the axels in mud twice.

Peck canyon was running too deep to cross in the truck but Fresno Canyon was only about 6 inches deep where it runs into Peck.
Covered a little over 2.5 miles on foot.
The temp was only 83 but the humidity was heavy.
Gonna probably burn my clothes and backpack.
Got within a quarter mile of the goal and decided it was too muggy and headed back.
No walnuts... maybe next year.
Will head back one more time to this area to find an unnamed tank, a small cave and the balanced rock.
County is making Sand bags available for people today. Looks like a gully washer is on its way.
