| no partners | | | A little warm for this hike today but wanted to get it done before the real heat returns . Carried 3 liters of water with me and used almost all. Arrived Peralta trailhead about 0830 with about a dozen vehicles in the lot. Saw 6 hikers on bluff spring trail doing miners needle loop. Ran into 5 backpackers on terrapin trail but no other hikers were seen until Fremont saddle. Pools of water in Barks canyon and some slight flow in East Boulder Creek which was helpful for cooling off. Near terrapin pass caught a glimpse of 2 coyotes darker in color than typical almost black, saw one silent rattlesnake. Took in all the excellent views this route offers. |
