It was a warm day below the rim, so I took the youngster for a creek hike / berry harvest. Raspberries are our favorite. 2nd time on the new lower section of Colonel Devin. So much better now that it winds along the East Verde in a lush forest, instead of under powerlines. We wandered to and from for a while. Seeking ripe berries and shaded water holes. Success on all fronts. Stayed cool and got some free berries if you don't count the scratches. Never go shirtless into a berry patch.
