| no partners | | I was in Lone Tree CO this week to train a new hire. We finished training early on Wednesday so I decided to get out and explore the nearby Bluffs Regional Park Trail, which is visible from the office and had been tempting me all week.
While there are only a few miles of trails, it's a nice park in the center of town with nice trails and some wildlife. I saw seven deer, including a doe and her two young who walked right up to a lady while she snapped pictures of them. Maybe not so wild. The two bluffs in the park provide nice views of the suburban sprawl south of Denver and the Rockies to the west. As I was walking back from the north facing bluff, I saw a beautiful sunset coming so I backtracked to the west facing bluff and sat a spell to wait for it. A few others had the same idea and joined me.
A very enjoyable break in an otherwise busy week. The cooler CO weather was also a nice break. Thunderheads formed daily around 4pm, but we only got a trickle of rain, which of course happened to be the day I went for my walk. If felt good. |
