| no partners | | I've been inactive for more than two months. I haven't had the time, but things are looking up just in time for good local weather. Time to hike!
The Peralta TH lot was nearly full when I arrived at 7am, but I saw maybe 10 people on the trails. I took Bluff Springs out to see a saguaro I am fond of, took a picture, then doubled back to the Upper Barks Canyon trail. I took the Upper Barks trail out to the gnarly, twisted, dead tree that I like to call the burning bush. Unlike another burning bush, this one has only one commandment: Thou shalt get off your duff and hike as much as possible. I'll do my best.
The Wave Cave has turned into a major social event. The Carney Springs lot was full and there were dozens of cars parked along the road. Amazing. Better get there early if you're planning a shuttle hike.
The trails were all in great shape. Peralta road is also in great shape. The only thing lacking today was water.
It was great to get out this morning on a gorgeous day. I need to do this more often. |
