This was a hike I organized with a local group. We went up to the edge of the Warm Springs Wilderness. I've been trying to make some hiking buddies here in the Tri-State region, and have started to find people who want to do some peak bagging, etc. However, this was just an exploratory ramble around the edges of the Warm Springs Wilderness Area. We had a nice time. There are a lot of relics lying around on the ground from the mining days. It's astonishing how much work those old miners put in to some of the prospects, and they never found very much. There is gold everywhere in the soil here, but it's in small quantities.
