| no partners | | Trying to catch up on my Kauai triplogs. The name of the hike comes from the shape of the ridgeline, which looks like, well, a sleeping giant, with the giant's forehead at the summit. We stayed in an AirBnB in Kapa'a, with a yard that looks straight up at the giant.
This is a fantastic hike with 360 degree views of a large swath of the island, and panorama-photo lover's dream from the "chin" of the giant.
Among the cornucopia of hikes on this island, it's hard to narrow down a list of "don't miss" hikes, but I sure put this one in the mix. Because it's relatively short and easily accessible, it only takes as much time as you care to stop and oogle at the views.
On my way down, I crossed some trail runners and even a mountain biker.
