| partners | | I've spent time in the upper portions of this creek years ago but today it was the lower portion of this creek that I was interested in.
A powerful spring provides perennial surface water to this particular section which was a blessing on this warm December day in the desert.
The random long winding narrows are amazing and in some spots almost narrow enough to touch wall to wall.
Almost a necessity to get your feet wet for this one and definitely not a place you want to be during any chance of a flash flood as there would be limited options for escape.
On our way out a nearby gunshot was fired but our positioning in the narrow canyon made it sound like it came from just steps away and eerily echoed with great volume.
Never would have thought it would be 72 degrees and sunny on one of the last days of the year, almost unsettling warmth, all I want for the new year is a blizzard!
