I just had to take a quick mid day trip up to the fresh powder and get it while it's good since it's been so long!
Originally was going to hike Woods Canyon but while approaching Rim Road it turned into a complete whiteout and visibility on the highway was 10 feet at best.
Little scary to even take a left turn to rim road because of the inability to see oncoming traffic, no falling snow but perhaps the densest fog/storm cloud I've ever drove in.
Since I wouldn't even be able to take a photo and safety was a factor on just the highway I drove down a few hundred feet underneath the fog canopy to the Two Sixty TH instead.
I wanted to see more snow so I spontaneously headed up Sinkhole and enjoyed every bit of the untouched fresh snow covered trail.
Had to get back to work so just took a few photos and soaked it all in but it sure was incredible!
Hooray for 2018's first little spritz! |
