| no partners | | Took the family out to attempt Squaw Peak summit but got a late start due to several wardrobe changes before leaving-- ah, the joys of raising girls. Could not find anywhere to park near trailhead for summit so ended up grabbing a spot by the TH for #304 instead. It was probably best we did as my 4 year old finished her first hike in a while (a lot of turning around halfway recently)... think it was the first since she somehow knocked out the LOST Canyon segment when she was barely 3.
Nice easy trail. Most of the educational signs along the way have been long since sun-faded to the point they are nearly blank but I did have fun teaching the kids about Teddy Bear Cholla (a.k.a. the cactus that was sticking out of our dog's face this summer.) |
