Plan “B” hike after a friend’s flu recovery extended itself into the weekend. Solo adventure into a crowded space. Combination of trails from this trailhead including Broken Arrow and various “Hog” trails. Left some trails undone so that I can revisit with others and add some surprise. I think Sedona is best done in the company of others. I felt like I had forgotten something the entire way as most were traveling accompanied. The “Hog” trails were the highlight. Endless combinations and plenty of trail signs make this area easy to scale for various groups. Capped the hike off with a visit to the chapel followed by coffee at the Oak Creek Espresso/Ren Tao Roasters. Started raining around noon and drizzled all the way back to Phoenix.
