| partners | | Up early, packed up our camp and set off on a hike along the first mile as the route we took yesterday, only this time we turned south to follow FR 3224A all the way over to Creekside Day-Use site along Workman Creek.
Not much of note... a barricaded uranium mine along FR 3224A, a single mule deer encounter and a few areas thick with vegetation.
Forest Roads FYI... Although there was some new signage, the Forest Service roads (3222, 3224 & 3224A) are all designated 'administrative use only' and closed to public vehicle use.
Even though we finished the hike earlier, it was already as hot as yesterday so we wasted no time heading home.
UPDATE 6/22: One unwanted result of the camping trip... yesterday my arms began breaking our with what I suppose are 'no see-um' bites. A bit weird, because the only time I wasn't wearing a long-sleeve shirt was for maybe 30 minutes shortly after the hike on Tuesday and AFTER washing-up... so the welts began showing up two days after-the-fact.
If these are anything like my previous bouts, I'll be dealing with them for 2-3 weeks. |
