Arrived early for a family reunion at the Ruby's Inn campground, just outside of Bryce Canyon NP. Took the two kiddos with me and we did a hike/bike combo. Parked our bikes near the Sunrise TH and then drove over to the Fairyland TH. Hiked between the two and then biked back to the car.

It was a fun loop. Bryce Canyon is a surreal place. I didn't realize that most of the erosion that caused the formation of the hoodoos there was not running water, but rather the freeze/thaw effect, which apparently that area is prone to.

This trail was recommended as one with a little more solitude. This was true (compared to the Sunset/Sunrise superhighway we hiked the next day), though still passed several groups on the trail.

Great hike!
