I was going up to Flagstaff to do some hiking over the weekend, and decided to leave early on Friday to do my first ever hike to Bill Williams Mountain.

The trail is easy to hike on -- it is mostly dirt, and there are switchbacks on the steeper sections. The trail is mostly shaded, so it would be a good warm weather hike. The downside with all of the trees on the trail is that scenic views are limited.

There is a fire tower on top, but it was unmanned when I went did this hike. From the peak, you could look to the east and see a prescribed fire burning.

Civilization is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there
