| no partners | | I've had this area on the radar for quite some time but the safety zone closures from the Tinder Fire kept me away along with the summer/early fall heat.
Sometimes things work out better when plans change because this was quite possibly the best time of the year to go!
Golden foliage lined creek bottom, abundance of flowing water/pools and perfect temperatures.
The only thing that was missing was to make it an overnighter because I didn't want to leave this gem!
Roads to TH are nasty, narrow and more suitable for a jeep or small truck, the group I led and I did some off trail walking on the way in and took the roads on the way out.
Signs of ancient civilization were found, animal remains and generally a rather seldom visited area.
Iv'e stared at the massive "heart section" of Clear Creek for many hours via satellite and topo and become giddy with possibilities, lots of cool stuff out here!
