Trip numero uno was with a mermaid queen, my pups and I to the known Reynolds Falls with a little off trail exploring downstream at sunset.
Truly warm temperatures during mid day but once the sun dropped behind the canyon walls the temperatures got nice and crispy.
Trip numero dos was with the bearded wonder himself, the hardcore schnauzer and of course Mama Payton.
The mission was inspired by @PeraltaPhil’s epic mistake discovery I’ve had on my radar and after catching a riskiy acrophobic aerial view of it the day prior I knew where we were headed.
Bramble baby, nothing crazy but enough to make the skin bleed in a healthy masochistic way followed by the usual canyon movements and maneuvers were the name of the game for the day.
Some truly pristine stuff down in the belly of the beast and quite honestly the best time of year to soak it all in.
Couple whitetail, a few mule deer and a black bear were surprisingly it for the wildlife sightings for the weekend but always a treat to see nonetheless.
The mighty and mystical Anchas continue to amaze!
And Phil I think it’s more like 65-70 feet or so...
