Heather and Marilyn joined me for a hike of the Cave Creek / Skunk Tank Loop.

Heather and I hiked the loop clockwise, while Marilyn did an out and back of Cave Creek #4, (re)joining us on the way back.

We had originally planned to go to Spur Cross, but I know from experience that it's miserable there when wet due to the clay trails. The trails were still sticky in a few spots in the Seven Springs area, but most sections had either a covering of rock or sand or just non-sticky dirt. There was still just enough of the sticky clay about that I needed to hose our shoes down when we got home.

The creek was flowing, the water was clear, and the trees were sporting their fall colors. It's very pretty out there now.
