| no partners | | The others were suffering from various illnesses so I headed off to attempt to reach an arch we saw from camp on a nearby peak in the Tinajas Altas Mountains. It was a fun little route up a steep gully. There weren't many obstacles and the desert flora wasn't too bad. Found a lightly used immigrant shelter and a few remnants of bombing days.
It became evident near the top that the arch was not going to be reached due to being at the top of a summit block over 100 feet high. So I explored a bit more, looked for another way down, but decided to return the way I came, since I knew it wouldn't cliff out.
Fun little morning from camp. I could explore these mountains for days. |
