Myself and a friend from work are the only remaining members of the company hiking club, as it were. Sheri asked if I would take her to the Flatiron today. As it turned out, she was still coughing from a cold and struggled to get to the Basin. I have been struggling with some knee pain and was only too happy to let it go today.

We stopped at the Basin for a bit to watch the others (busy for a Sunday), then dropped back down to the Palmer trail, took that to the Prospector Trail, Treasure Loop, then up to the saddle below the Praying Hands. We had a brief snack at the saddle while we checked out the views. I pointed out some other trails we have been on together in the past. We explored a cool alcove on the way back down from the saddle, then finished on the Treasure Loop trail.

Great day out, even if we didn't achieve our objective today.
