A trip to Spur Cross was in order on this beautiful day. So off I went. I wanted to do something knew so I headed out on the Spur Cross Trail. I did not have the energy to hook up with the Dragonfly Trail and return via the Jewel of The Preserve. An out and back trek would have to do. I crossed the creek and headed on up. Pretty soon it became clear that Lupines were the order of the day. The pretty yellow ground cover was prevalent though I was dismayed to find out later that it is an invasive species. As the morning went on I ran into several groups of hikers and some bike riders. I turned around at about 1.3 miles and headed pack enjoying the views along the way. Spur Cross never disappoints!
