| no partners | | | Trail Closure Notification: There have been many good triplogs posted, so this is just a recent update on current conditions as of 5/24/2019. As the photo set shows, there has been a trail closure on the Fred Haught trail west of the Pinchot Cabin. I amended my original plans (Fred Haught, U-Bar, Barbershop, Rim Road) to go up the middle (Houston Bros, U-Bar, Barbershop) and bypassed the closure. I met a group on the trail that said that the forest road west of Pinchot cabin had been washed out, and that there was a 50' deep gully to cross. They said that they had done the crossing themselves, but I have not. See the photo set for the sign posted at the General Springs trail head. There was another similar sign at the Barbershop/Houston Brothers crossing, but as I said I had no problems at all on that loop. |
