whoo hoo, Happy Hour at 4:30  . Headed from 38th St TH around the southside of Happy Hour Ridge Mountains. Had time to kill so headed south some more and used various connector trails to swing around to the north side of Happy Hour Ridge Mountains. I had originally planned a different route but got distracted with the other trails. I didn't want to be early but in retrospect, should have probably opted for that.

And then as I headed up the trail to the ridge, I felt like I might not be in the right spot so I texted up to the Bar to have them stand at the edge of the mountain to make sure I was heading to the right ridge. Forgot how steep that hike was and once Karl had me in view and then Kathy I finally made it to the saddle. I yelled up to see if they would be okay with Happy Hour Saddle but Karl didn't like the sound of it and they were already set up. So they literally cheered me up the last steep part : rambo : . Made it. Let the festivities begin... and they brot quite the spread.

It was cold but we were all dressed for it. We enjoyed our usual wonderful views from up there and got a nice sunset too. Kemosabe apparently decided it was too cold and shut down so Karl and Kathy got those pictures. After about an hour, they weren't quite done with their beverages but we decided to hike down and of course had to put the headlamps on. I don't think they spilled a drop which is saying something as it's not exactly stable footing on this trail. We split at the bottom, they went west and I went east. I meant to stay on the trail but ended up in the traffic circle and headed down the road between the houses on Dunlap to Tonto Jr.

Looking forward to the next one, Cheers!

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
