Noticed a section of the Lower Gila River I hadn't been to that would be interesting to see

Access was pretty easy just past the "no trespassing" agricultural fields - some crashing through the bushes in the dry river gave good access to the "basalt plain" on the low mesa top.

Though the upper cliff band heading further downstream is covered with petroglyphs I saw almost none in this section. Maybe it's due to extensive collapse of the nice basalt edge in this section, but there were plenty of interesting rock alignments on top to find.

Nice walking and fun to look around trying to guess what's really ancient and what the people who made these simple geoglyphs were thinking.
