Looking for something to do, I planned yet another trip to the lower Gila River. It included an area we visited seven yrs ago on my first trip there. That day I got a ride in on a tough "road" in a jeep.

Looking at a map today, I thought maybe there was some worthwhile edge to walk that we hadn't covered, so I planned a return starting from a more accessible parking area, with longer approach. Some new ground would be covered but I had no intention to revisit all the petroglyphs we saw that day seven years ago..

I had fun walking the loop though I didn't see many new petroglyphs. I did see a few new rock alignments/geoglyphs (which I'm more aware of now). I continue to fiddle with video which probably makes this sort of trip more fun for me because I have reason to explain what I'm seeing as if I'm showing a visitor. [ youtube video ]
