The stream was raging, the road was rough, the falls were incredible. I saw one family camping back off the road. First crossing a fair amount of water but no problem for the Toyota. I parked at my usual spot. At first I was not sure I was going to make it to the falls, the stream was whitewater and whirlpools. A couple of spots I sought a different place to cross than at the trail. Only one spot was a problem, I had to shuffle my feet and my trekking poles vibrated with the water force.
Falls were thundering, making wind and mist at the bottom. Awesome. Trail in fair shape, the only thing I saw were horse prints. It looks like at some point the FS was in here and did some brush clearing along the trail clinging to the undercut bank. Perfect day, still a little snow on Graham but I think the runoff will subside soon.
