This is an added side adventure to the already awesome, scenic Quartz Peak hike. The traverse over from Quartz is fun terrain with some easy scrambling. Although there’s a little exposure nearing summit of Butterfly, you just have to tell yourself there’s no real risk of falling. It just takes your breath away if you get a little nervous of heights. Especially when solo.
If you love Quartz, you’ll thank yourself for putting in the extra effort to complete Butterfly.  |
