I almost forgot how spectacular this trail can be after a rain storm. I am glad we got out here today to remind me. We hiked to Big Kahuna and back.

The trail was a little wet, but generally in great shape. There was a tremendous amount of water flowing out of nearly every drainage. The mountain was spewing it. All the favorite falls were flowing strong. We hiked through low clouds and some fog all day, but the conditions felt nearly perfect and the dramatic clouds made for some great views. It sprinkled a little on the hike down. We did not see that many people on the trail today, which shocked me for a Saturday.
