Can't believe I haven't done this trail before. Macy took the driving and we rendezvoused with the Unruhs by Ft McDowell Rd. Fortunately I had the forethought to pack warm clothes for Macy because the narrow canyon was shaded the whole time. The first few hundred feet of the trail were loose, rolling rock; but it smoothed out to a great trail with moderate incline and stunning views. The rocks at my feet were just as stunning as those across the canyon.

We saw maybe 8-10 people before resting and turning around by the falls area. Would’ve loved to continue but we had a time constraint. Eric and I agreed that a full day (or weekend) to explore further was in order.
