My friend, Jason Miller, and I waded across the river against a very strong current and butt deep (for me anyway) cold water to access the dwellings. I was anticipating ice cold waist deep water and was prepared to break out a wet suit I borrowed from my boss! However, the temps were manageable and I held on to Jason to prevent myself from being swallowed by that freakin current!
This ancient homestead was fascinating to explore and we literally found hundreds of pottery pieces scattered around the southern end of the ruins!
Fun times!
