| partners | | | Pickles and I explored the Mindeleff Cavates today. These cliff dwellings were hand carved caves that housed nearly 300 Southern Sinagua Indians more than 700 years ago. About 89 caves with 353 rooms were mapped out back in 1896.We had to cross the Verde River to reach these ruins. Butt deep, cold and a strong current got our blood pumping pretty darn fast! We anchored ourselves together and got through it but it was moving pretty good! These ruins were an awe inspiring thing to see. |
