| no partners | | I had been walking around this place a couple of days before, and my friend Helen wanted to see it, so we went up early in the morning. After hiking around, looking at flowers, birds and lizards, we decided to go home and pack up gear for a campout. She lives all the way up in Bullhead, but she didn't mind.
We went back there late in the afternoon and set up camp in a secluded tiny valley. Wanda the Honda (CRV) made it just fine. Since the days are getting hot, the nights are balmy. The early morning was especially nice, too.
On the short hike, I forgot to turn on the GPS. I used Google Earth to figure out I was lacking .61 miles, and added that to the total.
I'm posting the flower photos with labels at the end of the photoset, to protect those who are sensitive about seeing too many flower photos! You know who you are! |
