Lake Mary Road, which has had bike lanes for a while, makes up a portion of the loop. It was a gorgeous day. There was almost no traffic on Mormon Lake Road, since it wasn't a weekend. Lake Mary Road has lots and lots of gravel trucks, but the drivers are very used to seeing cyclists, and give you plenty of room. Plus, the bike lane is fairly wide.
Mormon Lake is pretty low compared to last year, when it was fairly full.
I've temporarily given up hiking while my ex, a cyclist, is in town. We are awaiting the birth of a grandchild here in Flagstaff. A few days late, and we just keep riding bikes and hoping for that baby to be born! |
