| no partners | | My first little walk around this tiny mountain range turned out to be kind of fun. It's only about 20 minutes from where I've been wintering. There were still a lot of wildflowers, but I expect that next week, with summer's heat coming in, the flowers will dry up.
I climbed to the top of a couple of small hills to see the view.
I saw several rodents diving for their burrows, a jackrabbit, lizards, a couple of ravens, tree swallows, and numerous little grey birds I didn't try to ID. Due to recent rain, the ocotillos are in bloom. |
