| no partners | | This was my first hike in the high country this season. I'll be living up here all summer, so I will eventually get used to the altitude. In my current state of waddlesome sloth, this trail is perfect. My legs, accustomed to pedaling a bike, were somewhat surprised to be asked to climb a small hill.
I started at 7 a.m. No cars in the lot. By the time I returned there were 12 cars, and I'd had to avoid some family groups by walking through the trees.
I was pleased I had no aches or pains (foot, knee, hip, back, etc.) which tend to happen while hiking downhill. The plan is to continue doing small hikes for a couple of weeks, then add a wee bit bigger one, etc. You know the drill. |
