| no partners | | Started from FR4614. Only a couple of patches of snow left on the road. Trail was mostly snow free until about a hundred yards before the Tumala Mtn Junction. Several very slick and steep patches of snow on the last bit of the climb to the viewpoint- very happy to have brought micro spikes with me.
After visiting Tumala Mtn, I continued east along the ridge above Tumala Lakes. I noticed an overgrown trail that descended the south side of the ridge and was unmarked on the maps- so I followed it down to the valley floor and checked out the first meadow.
Back up on the ridge, I continued east to the main trailhead on FR4610 before retracing my steps. |
