| no partners | | Overcast with temps in the upper 40s/low 50s. Looked like it was going to rain, but got lucky and stayed dry. Last 1/4 mile or so of the road to the trailhead is still covered w/ patches of snow that are 1-2 feet deep, so I parked a little ways back and walked in.
Had the trail to myself (as usual). This is another mostly forgotten trail that wanders deep into the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness. The trail itself is a bit rugged and has a fair amount of downed trees and branches to scramble over/under/around, but it's never hard to follow. Really great views from Sheepshead Rock and from Salmon Mountain. |
