| partners | | Our Tour de Lamoille Canyon continued with a quick trip to Island Lake. This is one of the most popular hikes in the canyon and we made fairly quick work of it. There's a bridge that crosses the outflow creek along the way, and it was in some disrepair on this day. Supplies stacked nearby made it seem that the FS would soon be making the necessary fixes.
Arriving at the lake we discovered that the "island" is a flat pancake of grass. Seems like some intrepid instagram influencer should packraft out there and set up a tent for a photo. Maybe get sponsored by a brewery or something!  |
