| no partners | | On Kinney RD south of the closed Olde Tucson Studios, the first road side pull-off is K14. There is a nice map near the TH, so I could see where I was headed. From here, I accessed a trail called the Prickly Poppy. No poppies to be found, but the dry desert was quiet on a mild Saturday afternoon and aside from mountain bikers these fairly level trails don't get much use. Enjoyable.
I walked a bit past a deep wash just south of the Caliche Flats trail and then back. It was nice. Probably better than the busy area around Gates Pass. |
