Ran into Kelly and Fletch at the trailhead and they were kind enough to let me join them on part of their hike. Headed up Pyramid. Very warm and stagnant until we got to the ridge, then there was a light breeze. We parted ways at the Pyramid/National junction and I headed back down Pyramid. Nice to have company and fun conversation for the first half of the hike. Only saw a handful of people on my way back down. Lots of cicadas. Hazy sunrise. One large saguaro right at the trailhead fell while I was out of town. Burseras are starting to leaf out again.
