My daughter was up for a hike despite flying home from Florida this morning. We got started from a fairly empty trailhead around 1400. The clouds were dissipating but still providing some shade. Zero breeze though, muggy as can be. Took our time up Ruins, where there was finally a nice breeze as we approached National. East on National, where we explored some mines along the way. Down Lost Mine, where my daughter was finally losing some steam. Casual pace to finish out the hike. Everything looks green and happy, lots of evidence of water chewing up the trails, but the soft ground made for great footing. Saw the JJmobile in the parking lot as we were finishing.
