| no partners | | | Day two in Munds Park we decided to check out the Interstate Trail. Most of the trails north of Munds Park are 2 track but there are a few single track trails too be found, Interstate being one of the longest. The trail is in excellent condition and very easy to follow as it mostly parallels the I-17. The one negative I would give it is for the numerous zigs and zags the trail tread takes. Switchbacks are great on a steep grade but get a little annoying on relatively flat terrain. Hiked out to Fern Tank, enjoyed a snack, and returned back. Very beautiful area and didn’t see a soul. |
