Started a little late to allow the temperature to rise a bit to be comfortable in shorts.. Hiked up to Balanced Rock then continued up to check out the upper part of Chuparosa Canyon. It’s steep. Wouldn’t want to go down, not sure I could talk Ryan into going up but might try. On the way down I wandered around a bit checking out the different views. Beautiful day. Found a large rock and ate my ab&j sandwich and trail mix. The trail between the pools and Balanced Rock is much better going up vs down. Trailhead was full when I got back.
