This is a short .5 mile round trip hike to the falls but we strung together a few other trails to make this amore respectable hike. The Brandywine Gorge Loop was the most interesting section along this hike, the falls were very picturesque and a must see if in the area. The Stanford Trail to the old Stanford house was a nice stroll in the park but nothing outstanding. We followed along the Cuyahoga River and the old Ohio & Erie Canal to the Boston Mill area before turning around to head back.
The quarter mile trail to the falls is along a boarded walkway with steps but the rest of the trails were along dirt trails or gravel roadways/bike trails. Interstate 271 and 80 both pass over the Boston Mill area so you never feel out in the wilderness or away from background traffic noise. I can see why this is a favorite area for locals to get out and hike or bike. |
