After reading comments about the fire damage this past summer, today's hike provided a pleasant confirmation that the trail is still clear and usable. Much of the burned area is already replenishing; but, unfortunately the 2 stands of "orphan" Palm Trees are severely damaged and not likely to recover. All-in-all this remains one of the more pleasant trails in the Picketpost Mtn. area. Today, we were the only hikers to be seen.
