| partners | | This hike has been on our list for several years. I couldn't convince Mrs. LosDos to come with me, (she was apprehensive about her energy level) so I asked Angela and she was way too easy. The allure of fall color photography was too much for her to say no I suppose. In retrospect the hike was well within Cathy's post transplant abilities and now wishes she had gone. We are even discussing going back. 
I met up with Angela and we drove down in her "Tonto 3" mobile and arrived at the Picketpost TH around 9:45 this morning. Temps were perfect and we made good time dropping down into Arnett Canyon. I never received my "tibbermode" vaccine and was soon taking way too many pictures. Angela likely took many more than me plus several videos. It was that pretty. 
We went a short way into Telegraph Canyon before turning around for the return trip. We ran into a group of four horseback riders (one was a mule Angela told me) and just two other hikers all morning I think. After the hike we headed into the metropolis of Superior for a good lunch and drinks at Los Hermanos Restaurant and Lounge.
Thanks for the company and good conversation Angela. I'd like to say that "you rock" but @Tortoise_Hiker 's lawyers served me with a cease and desist letter the last time I said that.  |
